It has been more difficult than I had anticipated, but I have come out of the other side. It was more like being dumped than laid off. I guess when you really love your job and love the people you spend your days with, it is more than a job. I know at the beginning it seemed like my identity had been taken away in a weird way, but that was easy enough to regain. The part that took more time was the strange feeling of being dumped. So I am now feeling much more joy in my days and that will only benefit me and those around me. It takes time, but you get there!!! Again, thanks for all the support. I know it's an awful feeling, but I know you will be able to find something that you will eventually love as much as this one. Take your time to process your feelings and get over the shock, but do get the unemployment thing going as quickly as you can. Look at the good side, summer is just about here, and hopefully you can get some fun things going in between interviews for fabulous jobs... take a little time to enjoy yourself, you deserve it. You really do have very marketable skills, excellent job history, charm, flawless work ethic, and there is always work that can be found to capitalize on your skills. Beyond that, it's just going to be natural to mourn this loss/change. Who knows, though, what's on the other side of this! That's another good thing: the potential for you to make the best of it. As I know you always do. I love you! The one thing that’s good to remember while going through the shock this transition is that you have SO MUCH going for you. You really do have very marketable skills, excellent job history, charm, flawless work ethic, and there is always work that can be found to capitalize on your skills.
